Send Your Name to Mars on a MicroChip Courtesy NASA
NASA in continuation with it’s study of feasibility of life on Mars is sending another rover to Mars, Scheduled to launch in the fall of 2011, Mars Science Laboratory is part of NASA’s Mars Exploration Program.
The best part is they are going to send a microchip containing names of all people who wish to get their name on that chip, just by entering your name on the official site here.
You will get a certificate same as this one ( except for your name on it of course !!) which you can keep with yourself as a insignia of your presence on Mars courtesy NASA.
I genuinely believe it’s an interesting idea, I have already sent my name to Mars on an earlier NASA mission and it and I am a fan of this initiative by NASA as this seems a major development in bridging the gap that exists between various researches and projects going Inside the lab to people outside the labs.
And, one thing I noted that people from India are not participating in this in big numbers as can be seen from this world participation Graph , While people in USA are getting to the Mars in huge numbers .
