New HTC Legend Android Based Phone- Price,Features,Availability and Technology

HTC has announced it’s new Android 2.1powered mobile phone, called HTC Legend. HTC Legend has been extensively designed to fit everyone’s need and to deliver style with performance.

HTC Legend  is the  spiritual successor to the much-loved HTC Hero.

The Legend, also designed by One & Co, moves away from the harder angles and goes for a curvier, softer, smoother phone.

They also switched over to aluminum uni-body construction to create one seamless experience, which meant HTC had to go back to its engineers and ask them to develop a new way to assemble the phone. As a result, the trackball was replaced by an optical joystick, since the trackball would have ruined the lines.

The primary changes from the Hero to the Legend would be the upgrade to Android 2.1, the minor processor speed bump from 528 Mhz to 600, and the nifty optical trackpad that has replaced the trackball. The screen size and resolution remains the same (3.2 inches at 320×480), but they’ve bumped it up from the standard LCD to a gorgeous AMOLED screen.

HTC Legend has been extensively designed to fit everyone’s need and to deliver style with performance. With 384MB RAM and 512MB ROM, you can expect a faster running mobile phone while on the other hand, 1300 mAh battery promises talk time up to 8 hours with up to 10 days stand by period. 5 megapixel camera with internet sharing through USB, multi-touch support, accelerometer sensor increases it’s productivity and popularity as well.

Pricing and Availability

The HTC Legend will be available in Europe through Vodafone starting in April and will then roll out to other markets, including Asia, in early Q2.

Pricing was not revealed at this time and neither was North American availability.
