Hotmail Does not allows mail forwarding to Gmail Yahoo or anyone else

Microsoft is targeted by the open source community and the Linux enthusiasts much often , and I thought why these guys hate MS so much but today while using my hotmail account I tried to set my mail forwarding to my Gmail account it denied my request and it wont take any other account either be it yahoo,aol or anyone else.

While here, in the following image you can see I can forward a copy of my mail to hotmail.com , now that’s freedom of web in essence and an open and transparent feel to it’s users .

Reasons like these and few others have conjured up in my mind Microsoft as  a profitable business enterprise and not  dedicated to users and their freedom  , while Google is on the extreme opposite side of this argument .

    I have just tested it and even though it says it will only work with hotmail, it accepted my gmail email. Tested and worked.
